This was the first time I stayed at an aloft hotel. It was a fun experience. Think of it as a young, less expensive “W Hotel” – which is exactly what it is.  The lobby was filled with an array of casual seating areas, all in a mid-century modern inspired aesthetic. The rooms are cleverly designed, in the same theme. everything is built in with “cubbies” for the hanging clothes, coffee maker, design and music magazines, iron and ironing board. Even a turquoise eames desk chair.
